Madrid: A Horrible, Enjoyable Time

I dealt with several inconveniences on this trip to Madrid: A pickpocket stole my phone on the first weekend; someone compromised my credit card, independent of the phone theft; my recurring lower back pain returned worse than ever, making most movement a painful chore.
Still, I stayed resilient. I figured it was best not to sulk over what would be replaced or soon pass. Better to try and enjoy myself, despite the misfortunes. Not too difficult in a city like Madrid.
