Kyiv, Ukraine: A long stay that felt too brief

Instead of exploring Kyiv’s vast wealth of gold-capped churches, I spent most days staring at a computer screen and listening to rain.

I stayed in Kyiv for nine days, but it still seemed quick. Bad weather played a part in this, but I mostly stayed in because I needed to work. By the end, this left me with a conflicted sense that I'd both made the most of and missed out on my long stay.

I'd like to return to Kyiv one day, when I can explore it in greater depth. That's the mark of a great city: When any time there will never be sufficient.
